Let's talk about it
Most people that come to me have a basic understanding of the concept of ‘Recovery’, a word often associated with the process of healing from an addiction. But what is Recovery in this context? A dictionary definition describes the word as meaning, ‘the action of regaining possession or control of something lost or stolen’. I believe the ‘something’ in this instance refers to ‘you’ or ‘me’. In all my work, I help my clients recover themselves, to reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been buried under piles of emotional dysfunction many years ago.
The main elements of my private coaching offer the following
Flexible 1-2-1 Coaching
One-to-one coaching and guidance at your pace over a time frame that will fit with your existing life schedule.
A safe and nurturing environment
Escape from the noise of big cities in which you will feel seen, heard and respected.
Proffesional Guidance
Guidance to help you break whatever destructive cycle has brought you to me, to take ownership of your choices as you return to integrity and self-respect.
‘Out of hours’ support
When I take on a client, I am here for them 24/7. I only charge for scheduled sessions. Unlike much of the therapeutic community, I am also here for you outside of ‘office hours’.
Practical Tools and solutions
Practical tools to help you stay present to each moment as you move forward through life, learning how to go through and out of challenge instead of dodging around it.
Motivational Encouragement
Encouragement and ideas to bring more things into your life that bring you back to yourself, that get you out of your head and into your body, such as enjoyable exercise, getting into nature or picking up long-ignored hobbies.
Holistic Healing
Additional expertise where necessary. If I help you uncover things that need a deeper therapeutic approach, I will invite additional support and work with a therapist to ensure you receive the most appropriate assistance to support you along your healing journey.
Free First Session
My first session is complimentary. Please get in touch with me to discuss your first session.
Why is it for you?
The journey back to emotional health is never a solo journey. It requires both people in a relationship to want to grow ‘together’. I sometimes meet with the partners of my clients: not to discuss their husbands, but to talk about the mechanics of trauma and addiction. My goal is to help a partner start their own journey of healing and to begin to see their husband as a hurt and damaged man instead of just a lying/cheating whatever. The uncertainty created when a man keeps secrets of any nature can leave a woman feeling deeply unsafe within the confines of her life & relationship. She will need her own help to come to terms with what can be life-changing revelations, shock accurately captured in the four letters, ‘PTSD’. Whilst not my job, I can certainly point her in the right direction. Any relationship will stand the best chance of rebuilding if both parties are doing their own work.
Call me a coach; call me an accountability partner; call me a lifeline; I am all of this and more, here to help you unravel your emotional life knots and learn to live free of the crippling beliefs that have biased your decision making for way too long. And when we have done some solid work together and you feel ready to stride out again on your own, know that I will always be here should you need to check-in from time-to-time, to bounce around future challenges as they arise. I offer a free introductory session and if you like the feel of that conversation, then let’s do some work together. I look forward to meeting you.
